In June 2020, Netflix officially announced that the show will be renewed for the second season, and the key filming was initiated in Cape Town, SA on 13 October 2020. The show received by the fans as well as a very positive response. This is the fundamental reason behind the show's renewal.
Season 1 comprises a total of 6 episodes, and it is directed by Taute, Joshua, and Dumisa. The series' main plot is about Puleng, a high school girl who was kidnapped after her birth by her sister Phumelele and her husband, Puleng. The story comes with Fikile Bhele, a popular Parkhurst college athlete.
One day, Puleng was invited to a Fikile party and she keeps suspecting Fikile is Phumelele with instances. They reveal more about the mystery of her lost sister and other mysteries are hidden by her friends and family, Puleng continues to investigate.

Fortunately, there is no official announcement of exact the release date for season 2. However, Netflix said on site. "It's another is coming" Also, there is an official trailer that has been dropped on the Official YouTube channel. Hopefully, it will be too early to keep the delay of the show because of the global pandemic.

In the next season, the entire main cast will be seen again. The role of Puleng Khumalo will be seen in Amamkele Qamata. The series also includes Khosi Ngema(Fikile Bhele), Gail Mabalane(Thandeka Khumalo). The star series include Thabang Molaba(Karabo 'KB' Molapo), Dillon Windvogel (Wade Daniels) (Chad Morgan).
Blood and Water Season 2: Expected Premise
At the end of the season, Fikile and Puleng were very aware of the realities of their relationship and so there were so several loose ends that had yet to be resolved. These questions may form a basis for this season, for example, as was the case with the relation between Puleng and Chad.
