During the feudal era of Japan, the so-called Age of Samurai: The battle for Japan will take place. Age of Samurai is a real life-game of Thrones that draws its inspiration from the history of the Japanese feudal society. Yeah, but the show will focus more directly on the story of Date Masamune, a legendary historical figure in Japan. One of four more warlords was the "One-Eyed Dragon," who aimed to unite all of the country of Japan. Since Masamune ripped his own eye out infected with smallpox, he got his nickname. The ambitious young general struggled and went up and wanted to ensure his own brother's succession. At the age of 17, Masamune took over the leadership of his dad's clan and defeated the surrounding clans in a couple of years to unite much of Northern Japan.

Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Canada are co-produce of this series. Samurai era is portrayed in a documentaries style that will be known by many as the storytelling style used in the Roman Empire and the next series The Last of the Czars.
In Japan, these periods are drowned in historical moments that are often fictionally Romanized. Blue Ant Media and Smithsonian Canada plan to tell history in the right way, so that any fictions in the period will not be told, but the series will be both "educational and historical accurate."
